Situated in the middle of the Visayas island group, the province of Cebu is actually composed of 167 islands with Cebu City as the capital. It is the oldest city in the country where the Spanish established the first seat of their colonial government that was later moved to Manila.
 
  Cebu's coastline is lined with resorts, of which some of the more luxurious ones have complete diving equipment. For adventurous first timers, diving lessons are offered. There are numerous facilities for water sports lovers, from windsurfing, hobbie cat sailing and jet skiing. Mactan Island, adjacent to Cebu has the largest concentration of resort establishments.  
   
    Now the second largest city in the Philippines with the fastest growing economy, it offers numerous leisure facilities both for business and travel or just a simple holiday that can make a difference.

The beaches are never too far and shopping is easy – shopping malls, duty free shopping, to bargain hunting at the local markets.   Cebu has a rich historical past. This is evidenced by some of its historical attractions all around the city such as Magellan's Cross (planted by the Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan to mark the spot where the first Filipino converts to Christianity were baptized) and the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino which houses the statue of the Sto.
