  Located between Mindoro island and North Borneo is this mini archipelago of virgin islands. Puerto Princessa is the capital. It is the main gateway and one of the jump-off points to the other islands.   The underground river of ST PAUL'S SUBTERRANEAN NATIONAL PARK.     TABON CAVES: Visit the "Cradle of Philippine Civilization." Site of the discovery of Tabon Man whose skull is carbon-dated to be 22,000 years old. This 29-cave complex houses the fossilized bones of Tabon Man including a treasure find of archeological artifacts

  A marine sanctuary in northern Palawan, El Nido is another place to visit if you wish to explore some of the most extraordinary diving sites in the archipelago.
