ARAB STREET     Tropical gardens to stroll in...
One of Singapore's oldest settlements, this was once the site where Bugis & Arab traders traded their spices, coffee, gold dust and pearls. Today, Arab Street is a shopper's area for batiks, rugs, ethnic jewellery & basketware. At the centre of this area is the golden domed Sultan Mosque.     Botanic Gardens – just minutes away from Orchard Road, it is well known for its collection of orchids.
Chinese Garden and the Japanese Garden of Tranquility in Jurong has a handsome tea-house that will provide many hours of entertainment.
BUGIS STREET       In the same area is the Jurong Bird Park, which will prove to be an enjoyable experience for the bird or nature enthusiast.
